50 Best Universities/ Institutes of Asia: 2011 Rankings

Gone are the days when the USA and UK were the only countries that were considered safe and good options for study abroad. Now with competitive economies and an excellent academic standard, Asian universities are wooing international students like never before.

In an attempt to make you familiar with Asian education system, we present the QS Top universities rankings for Asia. Like always, China, Japan and Korea dominate the rankings. However, Indian universities fare poorly in these rankings. Out of top 50 institutions, 13 are from Japan and only five are from India. It is only the Indian Institutes of Technology that rank in top 50 universities of Asia. Prestigious universities like JNU, Delhi University also do not feature here.
